QUICK EWHEEL TROUBLESHOOTING FOR
TECHNICIANS:
Set multi meter at DC 20 voltage, make sure the unit is turned on
There is a test you can do on the throttle and it will tell you if
the controller, throttle or motor is the issue.
The throttle will have a 3 wire connection. Red , black and green OR
it will be red, black and white.
First, test red and black. You should be getting about 4.5 volts on
your multi-meter. If you're not getting that, then the controller is
the issue.
If you are getting that reading then the next thing to do is test
black and green OR black and white.
You should be getting just under a volt. About .8 or so. If you do
get that reading, then twist the throttle and the meter should jump
up to 3.4 volts or so. If you're not getting that, then the throttle
is the issue.
If Red and Black wire test fine, as well as the black and
green/white, then the motor is the issue.
